Solution
This project is a hand-illustrated visual story comparing the Dapperplein around 1900 with its present-day appearance in 2025. The composition is split in two, creating a clear visual contrast between past and present while symbolizing the passage of time.
Through illustrations and annotated elements, the piece reveals insights into the square’s architectural changes, construction history, and the origins of the Dappermarkt. By combining storytelling with visual comparison, the project invites viewers to explore how a familiar public space has evolved over time and uncover the history embedded within it.
