About
Assignment
Design an interface for younger high school students to easily discover books in their school library using an iPad. By selecting a few preferences, students should receive a personalized book selection. They should also be able to add books to a wishlist and email the list to themselves, making it easier to find the books in the library. The visual design must follow the official branding guidelines of the Municipality of Amsterdam while developing a substyle that appeals to the target audience.
Solution
De Boekenzoeker is a concept iPad app that helps high school students find books that match their interests. By selecting their preferences, students receive a list of recommendations, making book discovery easier and more engaging. A wishlist feature allows them to save interesting books and email the list to themselves, so they can quickly locate them in the library. The design carefully follows the Municipality of Amsterdam's branding rules while incorporating a fresh substyle tailored to younger students. Developed through an iterative process, the interface balances functionality and visual appeal to create an intuitive and enjoyable user experience.
